Indian River County · Seasonal Vero Beach and the quiet north end of the Treasure Coast

Vacation Rental & Airbnb Management in Indian River County, FL

Indian River County is anchored by Vero Beach, with Sebastian to the north and the barrier-island towns along the ocean. In the City of Vero Beach, stays under 30 days are presumed transient and the use is listed only in certain commercial districts, the Downtown district and the Cardinal Drive/Ocean Drive overlay, so we pair short-term listings with eligible properties and manage seasonal and annual leases for homes on residential streets.

Winter residents and seasonal visitors come for Ocean Drive, Humiston Park and the city beaches. Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital brings patients’ families who need somewhere to stay nearby.

Local vs. national

The Indian River County advantage: local knowledge at every level

A national platform prices Indian River County from a spreadsheet and sends whoever is free to turn the unit. We work it address by address: which city or county code applies, which tax accounts the stay needs, and our own cleaning and maintenance staff on every turnover, with guests able to reach us 24/7.

Regulatory compliance

Indian River County short-term rental rules

The Clerk of Court collects the county tourist tax, not the Department of Revenue. In the City of Vero Beach, the zoning code presumes a rental of less than 30 days is a transient occupancy and lists "guest house and transient quarters" as a permitted use in the B-2, B-4, C-1A and C-1 districts, the Downtown district and the Cardinal Drive/Ocean Drive overlay, but not in the residential districts. Addresses in Indian River Shores, Sebastian or the unincorporated county follow those governments’ codes.

Always confirm the latest rules with the relevant local authority before listing — we'll point you to exactly what applies to your property.

Common questions

Indian River County STR management — FAQs

What is the tourist tax on an Indian River County vacation rental?

The county's tourist development tax is 5% of total taxable rental receipts on stays of six months or less (DOR DR-15TDT; Indian River County Clerk of Court). The Clerk's page tells owners to collect 7% state sales tax alongside it.

Who collects the Indian River County tourist tax?

The Indian River County Clerk of Court and Comptroller. Owners or their agents collect it from guests and send it to the Clerk, in addition to filing state sales tax with the Department of Revenue.

Can I list a Vero Beach house on Airbnb?

Only if it sits in a district where the city permits guest house and transient quarters. That use is not listed in the residential districts, so most single-family homes in the city are better suited to rentals of 30 days or more or annual leases.
